IV. World Wide Web

           The World Wide Web is the central development in the information age and is used by billions of people worldwide. It is a system of internet servers taht support specially formatted document. It was coined by Tim Berners-Lee. There are different versions of the World Wide Web. These are the:

• Web 1.0

         This is the first version of the world wide web. It is also known as the Read-only web because it allows users to only read documents and they cannot ewdit, copy or leave their comment in the document.

• Web 2.0

         This is the present version of the world wide web. This is also known as the Read-and-Write web because users can read documents and at the same time edit, copy and leave their comments behind.

• Web 3.0

        This is the future version of the world wide web. It is also known as semantic executing web because it has the same function as web 2.0 but much faster and more useful than web 2.0.
